Advanced Braking Technology (ASX:ABV)

Advanced Braking Technology (ABT) manufactures and distributes its award-winning patented Sealed Integrated Braking System worldwide. From its head office in Perth, Western Australia, ABT is continuing to develop its brakes for sectors that have a strong requirement for safety and environmental responsibility including sectors mining, defence, civil, agriculture and recreational 4WD enthusiasts.


ABT is the pre-eminent supplier of fail-safe brakes for commercial vehicles used in the Australian mining sector. ABT’s brakes are known for their unparalleled safety, improved productivity, zero emissions and toughness in the world’s harshest conditions. As their reputation has grown, demand for ABT’s brakes has expanded internationally and ABT now has a significant portion of its sales coming from North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Antarctica and Africa.


ABT’s proven technology has been adapted for a variety of vehicles including Toyota Landcruisers, Toyota Hilux’s, Mitsubishi Canters, Isuzu NPS300s, plus several other special purpose brake designs including concrete agitator trucks and explosive carrying vehicles used in underground mines. ABT brakes are even found on the Thales Hawkei military vehicles used by the Australian Defence Force.

ABT continues to invest considerable research and development time collaborating with various industry sectors to customize their technology for new applications requiring safer and improved braking solutions.


The most recent of these projects has seen the development and commercialisation of ABT’s Failsafe and Failsafe Emergency for trailers and trucks.
